Description
Grab your partner and compete in Pickle Planet's Women's Summer Doubles League! This winner-take-all, schedule-yourself league is designed for players of all ages, provided both partners combined DUPR score is less than 7.49.
The league runs for eight weeks and features seven weeks of round-robin play, giving every team the opportunity to face each other team once. The final week will feature playoff competition, including both a Winner's Bracket and a Consolation Bracket, each culminating in championship matches.
Match Format
-Each weekly match consists of seven games to 11 points, win by 2.
-All seven games will be played regardless of the outcome of previous games.
-League standings will be determined by overall match win-loss record.
-Ties will be broken using total points scored versus total points allowed.
DUPR Reporting
All match results will be reported to DUPR. Each participant must have a DUPR account to compete. Players without an existing DUPR rating may self-rate when creating their account. Each participant must also link their DUPR account to their Pickle Planet profile in the Pickle Planet app. In the app, access your profile using the icon in the bottom right corner of the app. Profile ->Skill Ratings -> DUPR Rating.
If you need assistance creating a DUPR account, selecting an appropriate self-rating, or linking it to your Pickle Planet profile, a Pickle Planet team member will be happy to help.
Every participant will receive an official Pickle Planet Women's Doubles Summer League T-shirt.
Prizes
Winner's Bracket
1st Place: Cash payout equal to 30% of total entry fees plus a Champion T-shirt
2nd Place: Pickle Planet hat, paddle cleaner combo, and Champion T-shirt
3rd Place: Pickle Planet hand towel and Champion T-shirt
Team Registration
Players must register with a partner and remain together for the duration of the league. During registration, please enter your team's chosen name.
Scheduling Matches
Each week, teams will be assigned a new opponent. Matches may be played at Pickle Planet or another mutually agreed-upon location at any time during the designated week.
Match scores must be submitted to the League Coordinator no later than 10:00 PM each Sunday. Updated standings will be published every Monday morning.
Non-members who wish to reserve a court at Pickle Planet should email admin@pickleplanetus.com to schedule court time.
