The Story of Waterloo Pickleball & Capital City Pickleball
Waterloo Pickleball started in 2020, when a group of CrossFit Central coaches set up a makeshift court in the parking lot of 410 Pressler just to get in some games. What began as casual matches quickly grew into a thriving pickleball scene, drawing in players from across Austin.
In 2023, co-owners Jeremy Thiel and Jojo Atherton officially launched Waterloo Pickleball, creating a private club where competition, community, and connection thrive.
Seeing the demand for more organized play, Mohammad Khan and Kyle Riedl partnered with Waterloo to further expand Capital City Pickleball, expanding leagues, tournaments, and social events to make pickleball more accessible and exciting than ever. Together, we’ve built Austin’s ultimate pickleball hub, bringing players of all levels together in a vibrant and welcoming environment.
What We Offer:
