Community Groups
Our high school group is for teens looking to develop a lifelong sport or compete at a higher level. At this stage, we focus on more advanced stroke production, agility, and the mental side of the game. Whether they are looking for a fun social outlet or a competitive edge, this group provides a space for older students to refine their play alongside their age-mates.
Middle school-aged students are developmentally ready for the strategic and social side of the sport. This group emphasizes court positioning, basic tactics, and teamwork in a doubles format. The focus is on refining technique and introducing competitive elements in a way that builds confidence and fosters a positive social environment with their peers.
Students in this age range are at the 'Golden Age' of learning new skills. This group focuses on transitioning from basic coordination to intentional play. We prioritize the mechanics of the game, including the serve, return, and basic scoring. It is the perfect stage for students to begin understanding court boundaries and the flow of a pickleball match.
99% play but only 1% drill. If you see a ball hopper and think 'therapy' instead of 'work,' this is your group. We represent the tiny fraction of players who actually enjoy the sound of 100 balls hitting the court in a row. Join us to find partners who won't ask 'Can we just play a game now?' after five minutes of drilling. 10 minutes of chatter, 50 minutes of reps. We stay until the hopper is empty and the game is better.
Specifically for the "early birds" who want to start the day with pickle or get in a few games before work.
Don’t wait for a scheduled event to get your pickleball fix! The Open Play Crew groups chat is for players who want to take the initiative and set up and coordinate games to fit your schedule. Use this group to "shout out" when you’re headed to the courts and find others to join you for open-format play.
